More than 500 runners and walkers (A RECORD AMOUNT) came out to “brave the elements” and support the 10th Annual Bengal 5K Run & Fun Walk on Saturday, March 24. Over 100 volunteers (yet another RECORD) also exercised their “Bengal spirit”, assisting the racers in a variety of capacities.

Mayor Byron Brown, ‘83 “fired the gun” to kick-off the race and Claudine Ewing, ’92, was our emcee for the Post-Race Bengal Brunch.

A special thanks goes out to all Buffalo State alumni, faculty, staff, students, emeriti and friends of the college who participated in this race, in memory of Dr. Carmine A. Grande, and supported the Buffalo State Alumni Association. It definitely “ran” to a successful finish and will make a BIG difference for our Legacy Scholarship Fund benefiting Buffalo State students. Thanks again for making the 10th anniversary of our Bengal 5K the most successful one yet!!

Highlights and photos from this year's race will be posted on our Web site at www.buffalostatebengal5k.org in the near future, so stay tuned!
