11th Annual Bengal 5K Runs to a Successful Finish

Share
More than 500 runners and walkers and a record number of volunteers (over 125) came out to "brave the elements" and support the 11th Annual Bengal 5K Run & Fun Walk on Saturday, March 15. The proceeds from this event benefit the Buffalo State College Alumni Association's Legacy Scholarship Fund, a scholarship awarded annually to a student who is the child or grandchild of a Buffalo State graduate.

Mylous Hairston, '86, "fired the starter gun" to kick-off the race and Howard Simon, '84, emceed the post-race Bengal brunch.

Thanks to the RECORD number of campus community members (faculty, staff, students, alumni and emeriti) who supported this race as a runner, walker or volunteer! Your participation really made a difference and it was wonderful to see so many Buffalo State College supporters in attendance!
