150 Archaeologists to Meet in Buffalo

As members of the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology (CNEHA) Buffalo State College Art Conservation Director Elizabeth Pena and Anthropology Lecturer Susan Maguire will host more than 150 archeologists from throughout the Northeast and Canada in Buffalo for the 2007 Conference, Oct. 26 - 28.

The prestigious event kicks off with a reception in Buffalo State's Rockwell Hall and includes three days of tours, workshops and presentations, several of which feature Western New York historic sites with art conservation and archeological work accomplished by Buffalo State faculty and students.

Pena and Maguire are conference and program co-chairs supported by a Buffalo State College team that includes Kathy Leacock, lecturer, History and Museum Studies; Lisa Anselmi, assistant professor, Anthropology; Meredith Lavelle, senior staff assistant, Art Conservation.
