27th Annual International Cultural Fiesta to Benefit Haiti
An evening of international food and performances, including a cultural fashion show, is being hosted by the Buffalo State College International Student Organization (ISO) on April 10 in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.
Two ticket options are available: $5 for the performance from 6 to 8:30 p.m.; $8 for the performance and international buffet dinner after the show in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. A portion of proceeds will benefit the college’s Haiti Relief Fund. Tickets are on sale now at the Rockwell Hall box office. For more information, contact Jean Gounard, director of international student affairs, at (716) 878-5331.
Performances will include dance, voice and instrumentals representing a range of cultures, including Middle Eastern, Asian, Irish, Polish, Native American, Malaysian, African American, Indian and Haitian. Students from Buffalo State and the community will perform.
For the dinner buffet, students in the National Society for Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) will provide a buffet of international foods, starting with soup and salad, followed by three main courses. Buffalo State students will serve and bus the event. Dinner seating is limited. All are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
