Buffalo State College Athletics will hold its Third Annual “Kid’s Night Out” program for inner-city youth on Wednesday, April 20 from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.

Registration is FREE and open to any area boys and girls in grades three through five. Student-athletes from Buffalo State’s 19 varsity athletic teams will be on hand to mentor the kids on techniques in their respective sports as well as focus on the ideals of teamwork and sportsmanship.

“The Kids Night Out program is a great opportunity for our student-athletes at Buffalo State to connect with the youth of the City of Buffalo and enjoy an evening of sports activities,” said Dr. Gail F. Maloney, Senior Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator. “This program is very well received by both the children and the parents in our community and enriches the lives of everyone involved.”

Buffalo State is looking to exceed the more than 150 kids who participated in last year’s event. Interested participants can be registered in advance at www.buffalostate.edu/athletics or can sign up at the door on the evening of the event. Please call Meg Stevens, CHAMPS Life Skills Coordinator, at 878-6526 with any additional questions.
