This week, Buffalo State will play host to a national gathering of business leaders, community organizers, and network builders. The annual Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) conference will be held June 12–14 on campus and in nearby venues.
BALLE is a California-based non-profit focused on bringing regional businesses together to "address the economic, environmental, and societal challenges of their own communities."
Along with keynote speeches, workshops, and film screenings about growing local economies, the conference will feature tours of area businesses, urban farms, and historic parks.
Buffalo State, a conference sponsor, will host many of the sessions.
