Brockport Races Past Men’s Basketball, 94-67

BROCKPORT, NY—Buffalo State (9-11/4-8) suffered its seventh loss in a row, falling to host Brockport (17-4/10-2), 94-67, in a SUNYAC contest at Tuttle North Arena.

Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) led Buffalo State with 16 points and seven rebounds. John Lawal (Uniondale/Hempstead) had 14 points, six rebounds and four steals, and Bubba Wood (Brooklyn/Abraham Lincoln) chipped in 10 points.

Brockport jumped out to a 45-31 lead by the intermission and Buffalo State was never able to mount a threat over the final 20 minutes. The Golden Eagles shot 51-percent from the field, and outscored the Bengals 18-3 from long range and 24-12 from the charity stripe. Brockport also owned the boards, outrebounding Buffalo State, 43-30.

Buffalo State will host Cortland on Friday at 8 p.m.
