Buffalo State College Names New Chemistry Department Chair
Zeki Y. Al-Saigh, Ph.D. has been named chair of Buffalo State College Chemistry Department.
Al-Saigh's fields of research include characterization of polymer blends (alloys), photophysics of polycyclic hydrocarbons and environmental chemistry.
He received his Ph. D. in physical chemistry in 1973 from the University of Birmingham, U.K., and his B.S. in chemistry in 1967 from the University of Mosul, Iraq. A member of the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry, he has published more then forty papers in national and international journals.
Al-Saigh came to Buffalo State College this year after almost ten years of teaching at Columbus State University, Columbus, GA.
