Buffalo State Philharmonia: November 23
The Buffalo State Philharmonia, conducted by music director Paul Ferington, presents its fall concert in collaboration with theater students and faculty members, Tuesday, November 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.
The program, "Incidental Music," was originally intended to be performed between acts during theater productions. The music of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Grieg, and Weill will be paired with short theater excerpts of Goethe, Shakespeare, Ibsen, and Brecht. Theater students, led by stage director Donn Youngstrom, associate professor of theater, will be featured.
