Buffalo State Wins American Marketing Association Grant
The Buffalo State College Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association is one of ten collegiate marketing chapters nationwide to have received funding from the American Marketing Association (AMA) Foundation in support of local community service projects.
Funded by the Sheth Foundation and the AMA Foundation, grants of up to $1,000 support efforts by AMA Collegiate Chapters in strengthening the marketing program of one or more nonprofit organizations.
The Buffalo State will receive $750 to develop and implement an advertising program to recruit volunteer staff and generate financial contributions for Friends of Night People, as well as raise awareness of hunger and poverty issues in the Western New York area.
This year's grants will help chapters all affiliates of AMA, the world's largest professional society of marketers provide marketing assistance to national and local nonprofit organizations, including United Way, March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross. The AMA has more than 38,000 members worldwide, in 82 countries, with more than 250 Chapters throughout North America. Over the past four years the AMA Foundation has awarded more than 40 community service grants to AMA Collegiate Chapters.
