Buffalo State's Bihr Named SUNYAC Basketball Coach of the Year

Buffalo State's Dick Bihr was named this year's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Basketball Coach of the Year, as voted on by the conference coaches.

Bihr, in his 23rd season at Buffalo State, earns this honor for the sixth time in his career. Under his leadership, the Bengals finished the regular season 11-5 in conference play and entered this year's tournament as the No. 3 seed. Buffalo State defeated Oswego 67-62 in the semifinals and then dismantled New Paltz 73-40 to win its 17th SUNYAC Championship and earn a berth in the NCAA Division III tournament. The Bengals will travel to Scranton on Thursday for their first round game.
