Buffalo State men's hockey players Sean Burke (Barrie, ON/St. Peter's) and Jonathan Pietrangelo (Port Robinson, ON/St. Michael's) each earned weekly SUNYAC honors, with Burke earning Player of the Week honors and Pietrangelo claiming Rookie of the Week status.

Burke, a senior criminal justice major, led the Bengals to a two-game split to open the season at the SUNYAC Challenge in Fredonia this past weekend. Burke scored a pair of goals in the Bengals' 4-2 win over Brockport on Friday. He added a goal and an assist in a 6-4 loss to Cortland on Saturday.

Pietrangelo, a freshman hospitality administration major, tallied his first career point with an assist in the win against Brockport, and then scored twice in the game against Cortland.

The Bengals will travel to Wisconsin this weekend to meet Marian and St. Norbert.
