Buffalo State's Fisher Named Co-SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week

Buffalo State's Aimee Fisher (Hamburg/ Frontier) was named the Co-SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week after posting a perfect 3-0 mark.

Fisher, a sophomore biology major, registered a 0.65 ERA. She allowed just two earned runs in 21 2/3 innings and limited the opposition to a .182 batting average and had 23 strikeouts. She also tied her own Buffalo State single-season strikeout record she set as a freshman with 138 in 100 innings.

Fisher shared the honor with Plattsburgh's Stephanie Zweig, who was 6-1 with a 1.47 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 43 innings.

Buffalo State will wrap up its regular season today with a doubleheader at Cortland. The Bengals will return to Cortland on Thursday as either the No. 2 or 3 seed in the double-elimination SUNYAC Championships.
