Buffalo State’s Hollander Named SUNYAC Softball Coach of the Year

Buffalo State’s Sandy Hollander was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Coach of the Year for the third time in her 20-year career.

Hollander, who also earned the distinction in 1990 and 1996, led her Bengals to a 28-15 overall record and a 16-6 mark during the SUNYAC regular season. Buffalo State entered the postseason tournament as the No. 3 seed and advanced to the conference championship game, before falling 3-1 to Cortland.

Hollander ranks among the top 25 Division III softball coaches of all-time in wins with 483, compared to just 281 losses and two ties, good for a .632 winning percentage.
