Buffalo State's Hordge Races to Pair of National Championships

OSHKOSH, WI--Willie Hordge (Buffalo/Forestbrook TX) captured Buffalo State's fourth-ever NCAA Division III Track & Field Championship today at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and then just over an hour later, he won the fifth.

Hordge, a junior, sprinted to the title in the 100-meter dash in 10.56, finishing .10 seconds ahead of his closest competition. Later in the afternoon, he captured the title in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.15, .29 seconds faster than the second-place runner.

Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) was Buffalo State's last national champion, winning the 110-meter high hurdles in 2005.

Buffalo State freshman Tenisha Jones (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) placed 14th in the triple jump with a distance 11.24 meters.
