Buffalo State's Hutten Named SUNYAC Softball Player of the Week

Buffalo State senior Laurie Hutten (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) was named the SUNYAC Softball Player of the Week after leading the Bengals to an 8-2 start this past week in Ft. Myers, Fla.

Hutten, a sociology major, hit .588 (20 of 34) as the team's leadoff hitter. The second baseman scored a team-high 12 runs, had five stolen bases, and recorded a .611 on-base percentage.

Buffalo State is scheduled to open its conference schedule on Friday with a home doubleheader against SUNYIT at 3 p.m.
