Buffalo State's LaPann Wins Football Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award

Buffalo State senior defensive end Tom LaPann (Glens Falls/Glens Falls) was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award winner for football, given annually to the first or second team all-conference upperclassman with the highest grade point average.

LaPann, a senior art education major, has maintained a 3.41 grade point average, and excelled on the football field, capturing Second Team All-NJAC honors. He led Buffalo State with 6 ? sacks and 16 ? tackles for loss. He also had 71 total tackles and two forced fumbles.

LaPann is the first Buffalo State student-athlete to receive a Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award since Jen Breier won the volleyball award in 2005.
