Buffalo State's Sirianni Named SUNYAC Softball Player of the Week
Buffalo State's Nadine Sirianni (Niagara Falls) was named the SUNYAC Softball Player of the Week after hitting .643, leading the Bengals to a 4-0 week.
The senior center fielder helped the Bengals to a pair of victories each over Rochester and Potsdam. Sirianni was 9 of 14 with two doubles, a home run, 11 RBIs and nine runs scored. A health and wellness major, she leads the SUNYAC with a .450 batting average and 30 RBIs.
Buffalo State is 24-8 overall and 9-7 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals were ranked No. 16 in Division III in the most recent poll released on April 13. Buffalo State will travel to Fredonia tomorrow at 3 p.m. for a conference-doubleheader.
