Burchfield-Penney Art Center Announces New Board of Trustees and Council Members

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is pleased to welcome the following new members to the museum’s Board of Trustees: Monica Angle, Anne Gioia and John Greenberger. The Board officers for the 2005/2006 fiscal year are Gary Brost, chair; Cindy Abbott-Letro, vice-chair; Calvin Rand, vice-chair; Paula Reinhold, vice-chair; Carol Kociela, treasurer and John Gartner, secretary.
Monica Angle has extensive experience in museums and museum education programs having most recently worked at the Craft and Folk Art Museum of Los Angeles and the Walker Art Museum in Minneapolis. A working artist, Monica has exhibited her work in group and solo exhibitions throughout the United States.
A community leader known for her volunteer work and leadership in fundraising, Ann Gioia is a co-founder of the Roswell Park Alliance with her sister-in-law Donna Gioia. She currently serves on the Alliance Foundation Board of Directors and on the Roswell Park Cancer Institute Corporate Board of Directors.
For years, John Greenberger has supported the Burchfield-Penney. Before re-joining the Board in 2005, John served on the museum’s Council, and his generosity has helped to build the museum’s collections. Currently chairman of the board of the Weinberg Campus, he has a wealth of volunteer experience having served on the boards of Nichols and The Park School and is a past vice-president of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
