Burchfield-Penney Art Center Announces New Board of Trustees Members
The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is pleased to announce the election of three new members to its Board of Trustees: John Gartner, Scott M. Goldman, D.M.D. and Alphonso ONeil-White, Esq. The officers of the Board are James Brandys, President; Cindy Abbott-Letro, Vice President; Calvin Rand, Vice President; Paula Reinhold, Vice President; Gary Brost, Treasurer and LeRoi Johnson, Secretary.
We are pleased to add three new members to the Board of Trustees of the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, said Ted Pietrzak, executive director of the Burchfield-Penney Art Center. They bring unique expertise that will further strengthen the Burchfield-Penney as one of this communitys cultural treasures.
John Gartner is the president of John Gartner and Co., Technical Marketing Consultants. He holds a B.S. from Princeton University and Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. He has held leadership positions in Buffalo/Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives and the American Marketing Association. Mr. Gartners community undertakings include the Kavinoky Theatre, Opera Buffalo, Princeton University Alumni Association, Jewish Federation and Amherst Chamber of Commerce as well as the Burchfield-Penney.
Scott M. Goldman, D.M.D. is an attending dentist and member of staff at the Erie County Medical Center, a clinical instructor at the SUNY at Buffalo School of Dentistry and works in private practice. Dr. Goldman earned a B.A. from Syracuse University and Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. In addition to his involvement with the Burchfield-Penney, Dr. Goldman is active in the community with the Jewish Philanthropies Scholarship Committee and has been involved with the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, The New Group (founding member) and the Buffalo Jewish Federation.
Alphonso ONeil-White, Esq. is executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for HealthNow New York Inc. He earned his undergraduate degree from Hamden-Sydney College and a Juris Doctor degree from the Brandeis School of Law, University of Louisville. In the community, Mr. ONeil-White is active with the American Bar Association, Buffalo State College where he is a member of the College Council and Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo, National Conference for Community Justice, Buffalo Prep and is on the Advisory Board of the WNY District of Key Bank.
Those who are continuing their membership on the Burchfield-Penney Board of Trustees are Robert Budin, Adrian Dedecker III, R. William Doolittle Jr, Peter Fleischmann, Carol Heckman, Muriel A. Howard, Stanley Kardonsky, Carol Kociela, Lynne Kreiner, Mortimer Spiller and Benjamin Zuffranieri.
