Campuswide Closure June 17: Water Main Break
A water main break in the Buffalo State College Student Union Quad this morning (Wednesday, June 17) has cut off the water supply to the entire campus. Effective immediately, the college is closed. All afternoon and evening classes are canceled. Only essential personnel should remain on campus, while all other faculty and staff are excused for the remainder of the day.
Because this closure is authorized by the Governor’s Office, employees do not need to charge leave accruals for this early departure.
There is currently no projection for when water service will be restored. Please monitor the college’s emergency closing line, 878-5000; the college Web site; NY-Alert; or local media outlets for further updates and instructions regarding reporting for work on Thursday.
