Cross Country Runs at Hobart/William Smith Invitational; Women Win, Men Place Second
Buffalo State posted a strong showing at the Hobart/William Smith Invitational, with the women placing first of eight teams with 38 points, and the men finishing second of eight with 49 points.
Buffalo State's women dominated the 6K course, with Aleksandra Halter (Clarence/Clarence) and Margaret Hughes (Elmira/Elmira Free Academy) finished first and second respectively. Halter blitzed the 50-runner field, running in 23:44, and Hughes finished in 24:24.
On the men's side, Dan Hargrave (Dansville/Dansville) led the Bengals, placing third of 54 runners with a time of 28:35.
Buffalo State will compete at the St. Lawrence Invitational next Saturday.
