Day Trip to the MacKenzie-Childs Studio and Long Point Winery

Join the Burchfield-Penney Art Center for a day trip to the Mackenzie-Childs Studio and Long Point Winery in New York’s Finger Lakes on Friday, September 19. The trip includes Grand Coach transportation, a boxed breakfast snack, hearty late lunch and some goodies for the ride home.

The MacKenzie-Childs studio is located on 75-meadowed acres high on a bluff overlooking Cayuga Lake, the largest of the Finger Lakes. We’ll have a guided tour of the manufacturing process, where you’ll observe artisans hand-forming, hand-painting and hand- trimming every extraordinary piece offered.

Our next stop is designed to excite the most discerning palette with a wine tasting at Long Point Winery, a recent addition to the Cayuga Wine Trail. Long Point Winery owner and vintner Gary Barletta collected over 60 awards in his 23 years as an amateur wine maker.

The cost is $98 for members of the Burchfield-Penney Art Center and $108 for non-members. A special price of $118 includes both the day trip and a one-year individual membership to the Burchfield-Penney Art Center.
