Families Sought To Share Time with Foreign Students

Share
The International Student Affairs Office of Buffalo State College is seeking area families willing to share holidays, occasional meals and recreational activities with students from other countries studying at the college.

Each year, nearly 300 international students from more than 50 countries study at Buffalo State. Host families are needed to spend informal time with the students and share American customs and traditions.

"It's a rewarding experience for the students and the host families," said Dr. Jean Gounard, director of Buffalo State's International Student Affairs Office. "The students learn about our culture and we learn about theirs. It's also great staying in touch and having friends throughout the world."
