As the academic year begins to wind down, art students have the opportunity to share the fruits of their yearlong study and studio work.
The campus community and general public can view a mix of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and sculptures created by students in the Fine Arts Department through April 27 in the Czurles-Nelson Gallery.
“The works in this show are carefully selected by the faculty of each area for their exemplary strengths in concept and technique,” said Elena Lourenco, assistant professor of fine arts, who is overseeing the exhibit. “We are celebrating the many talents and efforts of these students with a reception and awards ceremony on Thursday, April 19.”
Held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. outside the gallery, the April 19 reception is free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is also free to the public. For more information, call (716) 878-3208.
