Football player Curtis Hathcock (Bennett) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.

The junior tailback made the most of his first start, running for 147 yards on 22 carries againt Rowan, the #3 ranked team in the nation, on Saturday. His 147 yards on the ground were the most by a Bengals' back since the opening game of the 2001 season. Hathcock also registered 80 yards on three kick returns, including a 47-yarder. He already holds the school record for kick return yards in a season with 642 on 28 returns. Buffalo State was defeated 28-7, and will play its next game at home on October 26 against Montclair State.
