Football player Tyree Parker (Buffalo/Burgard) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

Parker, a senior safety, recorded 14 tackles in a 23-18 loss at Case Western on Saturday. Parker and the Bengals defense held the Spartans to zero points in the second half. Case Western boasted the number-two offense in the nation coming into the contest.
