Buffalo State College Foundation chair Linda A. Dobmeier will acknowledge recipients of the 2010 Chair’s Recognition Award, Thursday, June 24, at 5:00 p.m. during the foundation’s annual meeting.

The Buffalo State College Foundation Board of Directors is proud to recognize the following outstanding supporters with this award:

Edward O. Smith, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor, and George Hole, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor, for their outstanding support for scholarships and other philanthropic initiatives at Buffalo State.

The Margaret L. Wendt Foundation for its generous and ongoing support to the college. Since 1992, the Wendt Foundation has awarded more than $1.3 million to Buffalo State for areas and programs such as Project Flight, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, the Andrew W. Mellon Endowed Chair campaign, the Center for Excellence in Urban and Rural Education, and the renovation of the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic.

M&T Bank for its continued commitment to Buffalo State—starting in 1986 with a gift to the President’s Honors Scholarship Fund. Today, M&T Bank supports programs and events such as the Performing Arts Center’s Great Performers series, the Golf and Tennis Scholarship Classic, the Buffalo State College Foundation Scholarship Gala, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
