The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its All-Conference players for men's soccer on Thursday evening at the Hall of Fame Soccer Complex in Oneonta, NY, and four Buffalo State players received honors.

Freshman Matt Ketchum (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) led the group as he was named to the First Team and was also dubbed Co-First Year Player of the Year as he tallied one goal and anchored the Bengals' defensive corps.

Junior forward Brian Miller (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) garnered Second Team status after posting a breakthrough season. In nine conference games, Miller led the Bengals with six goals and 14 points. Overall, he tallied 16 goals and 35 points in 18 games, figuring in 45-percent of the team's offensive production.

Senior midfielder Erick Hansen (Irving/Lakeshore) and sophomore defender Richard Namulala (Kenmore/Kenmore West) rounded out the Buffalo State honorees as they were each rewarded with honorable mention status. Hansen earned the respect of coaches around the league with his hard-tackling play. Namulala contributed at both ends of the field as he finished second on the team in conference scoring with three goals and 10 points, and also helped support a much improved defensive cast.

Buffalo State missed qualifying for the sixth and final playoff spot as it posted a 4-5 record in SUNYAC play.
