Geneseo Hits From Long Range to Defeat Men's Basketball, 88-64

GENESEO, NY--Geneseo (8-7/3-3) hit 9 of 14 three-point attempts to defeat visiting Buffalo State (9-8/3-5), 88-64, tonight in a SUNYAC contest in Kuhl Gymnasium.

The Knights used a 9-0 run in the opening half to take a 47-34 lead at the intermission. Buffalo State never cut the lead to less than 10 in the second half, as Geneseo outscored the Bengals 27-6 from three-point range.

Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) led Buffalo State with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Gregg Jones (Syracuse/Nottingham) added 12 points, and Dante Griggs (Bronx/Chester Academy) had 10.

Buffalo State will travel to Cortland on Saturday.
