Geneseo Skates Over Men's Hockey, 11-1
Geneseo (13-5-2/8-2-0) scored early and often in an 11-1 victory over visiting Buffalo State tonight.
The Ice Knights took a 1-0 lead just 43 seconds into the contest. Geneseo extended its lead to 5-0 early in the second period, before Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored an unassisted power-play goal to get the Bengals on the board. Geneseo would cruise from there, however, scoring twice more in the second, and four in the third. Geneseo outshot the Bengals 53-25.
Buffalo State fell to 5-14-2 overall and 1-7-2 in SUNYAC. The Bengals will host Potsdam next Friday at 7 p.m.
