Buffalo State's Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) and Jenelle Orosz (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) will compete at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa this weekend.

Harris enters the championship meet with the nation's second fastest time in the 110-meter high hurdles, at 14.31, just .04 seconds behind the top time. He is looking to become the first Bengal to win a national championship since Daryl Brownlee won the indoor 55-meter dash in 1986. He is also trying earn indoor and outdoor All-America honors in the same season for the first time in school history. The senior finished third in the 55-meter hurdles at the indoor national championships.

Orosz will compete in the high jump, entering the meet with a school record height of 5 feet, 6 inches. The freshman is currently tied for 17th in the nation among the 21 athletes scheduled to compete in the event. She is looking to become the first female track and field competitor in school history to earn All-America status.

Harris will compete in the 110-meter hurdles trials on Friday at 4:20 p.m. with the finals scheduled for Saturday at 1:45 p.m. Orosz will take part in the high jump competition on Friday at 1:00 p.m.
