Harris Set to Compete at Indoor Track and Field National Championship

Buffalo State senior Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) will travel to Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill. this weekend to compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 55-meter hurdles.

Harris, a career and technical education major, currently ranks sixth in the nation in the event, with a Buffalo State record time of 7.59.

Harris will be accompanied by Head Coach Eugene Lewis, and will compete in the prelims on Friday evening at 6:20 p.m. Finals will be held on Saturday at 4:35 p.m. The top-eight finishers in each event are dubbed All-Americans.

Justin Muise earned All-America status last year when he placed sixth in the outdoor 400-meter dash.
