Iconic Folksinger Judy Collins at the Performing Arts Center: February 22

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Judy Collins will bring her rare blend of interpretative folk songs and contemporary themes to the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall on Friday, February 22, in a 7:30 p.m. concert.

Known for such hits as “Send in the Clowns” and “Both Sides, Now,” Collins released her first album, A Maid of Constant Sorrow, in 1961. Early in her career, Collins interpreted the songs of fellow artists, particularly the social poets of the time such as Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, and Tom Paxton and was instrumental in bringing other singer-songwriters to a wider audience. Collins is also an accomplished painter, filmmaker, musical mentor, and activist.
