Indoor Track & Field Competes at RIT Invitational; Gedraitis Breaks Own School Record

ROCHESTER, NY--Buffalo State’s Sarah Gedraitis (Lockport/Akron) broke her own school record in the women’s weight throw, as the Bengals’ indoor track and field teams competed at the RIT Invitational today. The meet was non-scored.

Highlighting the day was Eric Bream (Lockport/Lockport) finishing first in the 500-meter dash (66.14) and Gedraitis’ record-breaking fifth place finish (13.00m). She bettered her previous record of 11.92m set last year. Other top performances for Buffalo State included: Jamie Abbott (Pulsaski/Pulaski) placing fifth in the women’s shot put (10.53m), Tim Diegelman (Clarence/Clarence) finishing fourth in the high jump (1.83m), Joe Wooley (Amherst/Sweet Home) placing third in the triple jump (12.84m) and Puka HoChing (Gouverneur/Gouverneur) with a fourth place finish in the shot put (13.74m).

Buffalo State will be back in action next Saturday at Case Western.
