Jazz Concerts Open to Public April 23, 28

The Buffalo State community and the general public have the chance to hear two jazz concerts this month in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.

The Vocal Jazz Festival concert, a joint performance between Elmwood Swing, the Buffalo State Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and local high school choirs, will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for general public and free for students with ID at the Rockwell Hall Box Office. 

On Thursday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m., the Buffalo State Jazz Ensemble will perform under the direction of Rick Fleming, associate professor of music. The Jazz Ensemble's mission is to introduce students to the great American art form of jazz. The Jazz Ensemble's concert is free and open to the public.
