KidBiz Market Holds Training Session
Buffalo State College's Small Business Development Center held a training session for its annual KidBiz Market - a "small scale" entrepreneurial and educational program that teaches third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders to set up their own businesses to sell their wares. The "Get Ready for KidBiz" training session, in which children learned how to serve customers, how much supplies might cost and how much to charge, took place Saturday, May 18, 2002.
KidBiz kids participate in the open air market at Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway on June 22, July 13 and August 10, and are encouraged to sell anything that will fit on the four-foot display tables they rent for $2 per day. Past successful entrepreneurs have offered their old toys, sports cards, books, artwork, crafts, clothes they have outgrown and homemade food.
Children wanting to participate in this year's program will need permission of a parent or guardian.

KidBiz Market is also sponsored by Forever Elmwood.
