Students will join in a festive Mardi Gras celebration during Buffalo State’s Union Bash, Friday, February 24, in the Campbell Student Union's Fireside Lounge.
From 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., students can celebrate with comedy, music, casino games, and refreshments provided by the Student Life Office. Featured entertainers include Buffalo State comedian Chet Wild, Buffalo hip-hop artist of the year Chae Hawk, and the PRIDE Alliance presenting a Mardi Gras drag show. Campus administrators and student leaders will serve as guest dealers at the casino.
Participants are encouraged to dress in Mardi Gras regalia; free bead and masks will be available near the bookstore next to the airbrush tattoo station.
Student admission to the bash is free. Raffle tickets cost $1 a piece or $5 for 10 tickets for a chance to win a Kindle Fire, Kindle Touch, Skullcandy Headphones, and Chartwells Bengal Bucks. The drawings will take place at 1:15 a.m. after the Hawk performance in the Assembly Hall. Participants must be present to win. All funds from the raffle will benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
