Men's Basketball Assists at Local Food Pantry

Buffalo State's men's basketball team volunteered its time to aid the Network of Religious Communities Food Drive on Saturday, October 29.

The Bengals and the coaching staff assisted with set up, stacking baskets and greeting people who came to donate food, in addition to collecting and donating food themselves. The drive was part of a campaign to help fill the local food pantry that supports homeless and low income families in Western New York during the coming winter months.

"It is important for us to get involved, not only to fulfill the mission of our team and college, but also for our players to stay connected with our local community," said Head Coach Fajri Ansari.

Buffalo State will open its basketball season with the annual Coles Classic in the Sports Arena on November 18. The Bengals will tip-off against Marietta at 8 p.m.
