Men’s Basketball Cruises Past Worcester State, 94-76

BUFFALO, NY—Fourteen different Bengals found the score sheet as Buffalo State (3-2) raced past Worcester State (5-3), 94-76, in a non-conference game today at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.

Jamar Gray (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) led four Bengals in double-figures with 17 points and added six assists. Sophomore Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/Queens Vocational) netted a career-best 14 points and had six rebounds and four blocks. Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) added 12 points, Aaron Carter (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) had 11 points and eight boards, and James Tyndal (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlon) had eight points and a career-high 10 assists.

Buffalo State used a 14-1 run to open an early lead and led by as many as 20 points in the first half before holding a 47-34 advantage at the intermission. The Bengals never let the Lancers within double-digits in the final 20 minutes and claimed the 18-point victory. Buffalo State was dominant inside, outscoring Worcester 54-24 in the paint.

Buffalo State will break for the holidays and return to action on Jan. 4 at the Merchant Marine Academy at King’s Point.
