Buffalo State defeated Rockford (Ill.), 79-76, at the Grand Canyon Classic in Phoenix, Ariz. today.

Buffalo State trailed by six at the half, but rallied past the Regents for the victory. Gregg Jones (Syracuse/Nottingham) led the Bengals with 22 points. Jay Wingate (Henrietta/Rush-Henrietta) added 19 in the win.

The Bengals improved to 7-2 and will play Neumann (Pa.) tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.
