Men's Basketball Gets Revenge at Cortland, 68-53

CORTLAND--Buffalo State (7-4/2-1) returned to the site of its final game last season, but this time left with a victory, defeating host Cortland (4-8/0-3), 68-53, tonight in a SUNYAC contest.

The Red Dragons ended Buffalo State's season with 99-84 decision in last year conference quarterfinals.

Bubba Wood (Brooklyn/Abraham Lincoln) led the Bengals' offense tonight with 17 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) added 12 points and nine rebounds, and PeeWee Guiden (Bronx/Wade Hampton) scored 10 points.

Buffalo State jumped out to 35-25 lead at the half, but Cortland rallied and led by as many as four in the second half. The Bengals finally took the lead for good at 52-51 with 5:23 remaining, and closed the game with a 13-0 run to preserve the win.
