Men's Basketball Nips Plattsburgh, 77-76
PLATTSBURGH, NY--Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) made a layup with 2.7 second remaining to give visiting Buffalo State (13-11/7-8) a 77-76 victory over Plattsburgh (14-9/7-7) tonight in a SUNYAC game at Memorial Hall.
Plattsburgh led 43-30 at halftime and was up by as many as 18 in the second half, before the Bengals used a 21-5 run to get back in the game. The Bengals finally took their first lead since the opening basket on Mozelle's late layup.
Mozelle finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Dante Griggs (Bronx/Chester Academy) added 15 points and 14 rebounds. Charles Hepburn (Rochester/Greece Arcadia) and Jobany Tirado (Syracuse/Corcoran) also each scored 15 points.
Buffalo State will finish its regular season next Saturday at home against SUNYIT at 4 p.m.
