Men's Basketball Player James Williams
Men's basketball player James Williams (Brooklyn/William Grady) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.
The 6-8 center earned Most Valuable Player honors in the Coles Classic after leading the Bengals to a title with wins over Marietta (138-83) and Nazareth (83-73). Williams averaged 25 points and 7.5 rebounds in the two games and set a school record with seven blocks against Nazareth. The health and wellness major also scored 11 points and had five blocks in Sunday's loss at Division I University at Buffalo.
Williams and the Bengals will open up the SUNYAC regular season at home against Fredonia on Tuesday, November 29 at 8 p.m.
