Men's Basketball Upsets Montclair State, 78-72
Buffalo State earned a berth in the York (PA) College Coaches vs. Cancer Classic with a 78-72 victory over Montclair State tonight.
The Bengals led 42-37 at halftime, and held off the Red Hawks in the second half to secure the win. The contest was called with 1:08 remaining after a series of technical fouls and excessive arguing from the Montclair bench and coaching staff.
Josh Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) led the Bengals with 26 points. Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) added 19 points and seven rebounds, and Jeremy Konst (Williamsville/Williamsville East) added 11 points and eight assists.
Buffalo State improved to 7-3 and will play in tomorrow's championship game against Chowan at 3 p.m.
