Men's Basketball Upsets Oswego, 80-78

OSWEGO, NY--Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) hit a short baseline jumper with 1.4 seconds remaining to give Buffalo State (10-10/4-7) an 80-78 victory over host Oswego (15-5/9-3), tonight in a SUNYAC game.

Oswego owned a 42-41 halftime advantage and extended its lead to as many as 11 points in the second stanza. Buffalo State battled back and converted down the stretch to snap a six-game losing streak.

Gregg Jones (Syracuse/Nottingham) led five Bengals in double-figures with 23 points. Mozelle finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Lester McNair (Ithaca/Ithaca) added 18 points, Charles Hepburn (Rochester/Greece Arcadia) had 11, and Jobany Tirado (Syracuse/Corcoran) scored 10.

Buffalo State will host Oneonta tomorrow at 8 p.m.
