Men's Basketball Works Overtime to Beat Oneonta, 77-76

Buffalo State overcame a 12-point deficit in the final six minutes of regulation time to force an extra period, and eventually prevailed 77-76 in overtime at Oneonta tonight.

The Bengals never led in the second half, and finally knotted the score for the first time when Josh Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) made a free throw with three seconds remaining in regulation. The Bengals ended the game in similar fashion, as Justin Konst (Williamsville/Wil. East) hit a free throw with only one second to play to give the Bengals the win.

Becker finished at the team's leading scorer with 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) added 17 points and 14 rebounds. Mike Miranto (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) and Jeremy Konst (Williamsville/Wil. East) each score 11 points. Justin Konst finished the game with eight points.

Buffalo State improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals will play at SUNYIT tomorrow with tip-off at 4:00 p.m.
