Men's Hockey Falls To Plattsburgh, 5-1
Buffalo State dropped its last home game of the season this evening, losing to Plattsburgh (11-11/4-7), 5-1, at the Ice Arena.
Plattsburgh held a 2-0 lead in the second period before the Bengals got on the board, off a shot by sophomore Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls). Freshman Mike Ansell (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) and senior Jason Sirois (Feeding Hills, MA/Cathedral) were credited with the assists. It wouldn’t prove to be enough as Plattsburgh went on to score three unanswered goals in the third period.
Buffalo State falls to 5-16-2 overall and 1-9-2 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals return to the ice when they travel to Cortland on Feb. 11 for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
