Men’s Hockey Unbeaten Streak Ends at No. 3 Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH, NY—No. 3-ranked Plattsburgh (19-2/12-0) snapped Buffalo State’s (9-9-3/4-5-3) school record eight-game unbeaten streak with a 5-2 win in a SUNYAC game tonight at Stafford Arena Arena.

After falling behind 3-0, Joe Curry (Indian River, ON/Norwood) put the Bengals on the board late in the second period with a power-play goal late in the second period. Plattsburgh extended its lead to 5-1 in the final frame before Kevin Kozlowski (Lockport/Starpoint) netted his first goal as a Bengal. Nick Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) picked up a pair of assists for the Bengals.

Plattsburgh outshot the Bengals, 35-31. Kyle Gunn-Taylor (W. Seneca, NY) made 30 saves for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will visit Potsdam tomorrow at 7 p.m.
