Men's Soccer Edges Nazareth, 2-1

Prisco Houndanon (Benin, West Africa) scored with 2:43 remaining to lead Buffalo State past Nazareth, 2-1, today in Rochester to keep the Bengals unbeaten on the season.

Nazareth opened the scoring jsut 2:12 into the game on a rebound goal by Paul Pacitto. Buffalo State finally got on the board in the 71st minute when Richard Namulala (Kenmore/Kenmore West) headed in a cross from Randy Haight (Roseville, CA/Woodcreek). Houndanon's unassisted goal gave the Bengals the victory. Buffalo State out-shot the Golden Flyers 21-10.

Buffalo State improved to 3-0-1, its best start since 1984. The Bengals will compete in the Bethany Tournament in West Virginia this Friday and Saturday.
